I Can't Believe It's The USA

What the heck is going on. I never believed that I would see Americans standing by watching their country change the way it has. The government is taking charge of every aspect of our lives and the people are standing around looking dumb founded. Has our educational system dumb down our population so much that we can not remember why our country was founded. Have we learned so little history that we willingly repeat the mistakes to the same regretful ends. Socialism does not work and Fascism works even less well. Yet, we seem to be immobile because we have been taught that government knows better.

Nothing government does seems to function properly but we are willing to abdicate more responsibility to them. Our banking system is crumbling, our Social Security System is not secure, we are losing our homes, our jobs, and our secure future. All of this has been done at the hands of government and the governed who have not been vigilant. Now we are about to give up our very health to a system that other countries warn us is inadequate and failing the people of other countries to the degree that they must come here for proper treatment.

I always cringed when I hear someone quoting Patrick Henry. I thought there is someone going over the edge. As I look around me now, I am thinking maybe these people were not so crazy. I am not ready to pick up arms yet, but I can see based on history why it became necessary. In light of what is happening around me, I am wondering just how far government is willing to go before it tramples our constitution. Watch this video of Patric Henry's speech and tell me what you think.

I'm probably unique in that I'm retired and living on fixed income. However I'm more fearful of what the weather will bring in the days ahead than I am in what the Government will or will not do. Its true, that the present Government does not represent me or my belief's, but I learned long ago that there are more than one way of doing things and that my way is not necessarily the only way. I guess I do not see, Yet, any cause for real fear in what the Government is doing, I don't like what they are doing but am not as yet fearful. I am more concerned with what greedy men and women are doing in this country and the havoc that they wreak. Also, with the lack of integrity and God-Less-ness
of the general public. Somewhere along this road we are on certain people took it on themselves to take advantage of certain situations, when no one was looking. The day may very well come, and soon, when we will find ourselves in a civil war with the Government, but I have faith in the remaining Honorable American people that we can take back our country and remain free any time that becomes needed. Unfortunately, no one seems to have a "Perfect" plan.

Anonamous, you should be the most concerned. If you are living on a fixed income, inflation will soon devistate your ability to maintain your standard of living. I hope I am wrong but I don't beleive I am.

We the people are so busy in our chains of oppression, just trying to feed ourselves and keep our heads above water, lest we drown. Lulled by big banks (oh yes! You can afford it!), big government (oh well we need that money to help you! You can afford it!), big lies (We are doing this for your good, life will be easier this way, you’ll see, this change is inevitable, you have to pay, because it’s necessary!), we have jumped into the ocean without lifejackets. The change that is touted daily is coming, watch out. What were you (we) thinking? And so in our busy days as we try to survive, the big guys, get bigger clubs, and beat us even harder. Every way people turn the doors are shut, just when we get relief from high heat and electric bills, they raise up the price of gasoline. Don't cut your grass, they'll fine you, don't go work because you can't afford the gas the boss will hire someone, more desperate than you. Well, at some point it comes down to what do you want for $7.40 an hour? As more and more give up and say I'm not gonna pay, there are 7 empty houses on my block I can live in, catch me if you can, they can’t arrest us all...History has shown a Patrick Henry will rise up every time, slave/peasant revolts happen from enslaving common free thinking folks who don’t have a desire to own nor to control the whole of the land, only to feed themselves and their children. The ruling class, the rich, will regret their tyranny. But not until people have suffered so much, and the rich are reduced to whining, "let them eat CAKE!" Because the common working person does not have time, to care until there is nothing left to care about. Then they will care about being angry and care about taking control of the mess that has been forced upon us. Lord send us a Patrick quick! Then we will see Grandma and Grandpa in the street, with their tennies on destroying everything in their paths, because they are sick and tired, of being sick and tired. The violence that has been shoved down our youth’s throats in their media releases will leave them headless and they will cry “oh unjust youth how is it that you have done this to us?” And they will imprison the young and strong, but Grandma and Grandpa will rise up. How sad, and yes Rose, that's what our educational system has strove to teach us, Well it's ok to have your "opinion"...if you think its black, but I say it's white, “well that's ok!”...Most listening to that argument after having been educated here will say, “oh yeah! It’s grey!” Doi! Something is wrong and I believe it will fester much longer until people see the need to amputate the problem. For now we’re too busy trying to figure out how we’re gonna pay for it all on a grand. Whoa unto those who have turned their face away from the Lord. This is just a spanking; wait until he hears us no longer. Corruption is winning, what a shame, I feel sorry for our youth, and I’m mad that after all these years of hard work, it has been for naught. Wake up! Wake up! God Bless us all and God Bless our country. That’s what I think. It’s not my opinion, it really is BLACK. Thanks for letting me share a moment of it. Marge

How frustrated he must have been. So many just want "peace" at the cost of liberty. It is too late to sit back and wait. We must all stand up together, shoulder to shoulder, and demand our government address our concerns.

I'm more worried about government health care and who will make the decisions about when and/or if you will get the care you need.
